I made the decision to create a better and more fulfilled life for myself rather than the life that I was used to and was ingrained in me from birth.

I found out my own mindset created the wrong actions which has led me into wrong belief systems.

Getting clarity on life is not an easy task, but it is "priceless" to any individual.

My Name is Rose

I saw this story posted recently and wanted to share because I got a very positive response from the people I sent it to and needed to share it with everyone I know...ENJOY!

The first day of school our professor introduced him-self and challenged us to get to know someone we didn't already know.
I stood up to look around when a gentle hand touched my shoulder.
I turned around to find a wrinkled, little old lady beaming up at me with a smile that lit up her entire being ..

She said, 'Hi handsome. My name is Rose. I'm eighty-seven years old. Can I give you a hug?'
I laughed and enthusiastically responded 'Of course you may!' and she gave me a giant squeeze.

'Why are you in college at such a young, innocent age?' I asked.

She jokingly replied, 'I'm here to meet a rich husband, get married, and have a couple of kids...'

'No seriously,' I asked. I was curious what may have motivated her to be taking on this challenge at her age.

'I always dreamed of having a college education and now I'm getting one!' she told me.
After class we walked to the student union building and shared a chocolate milkshake.
We became instant friends. Every -day for the next three months we would leave class together and talk nonstop.
I was always mesmerized listening to this 'time machine' as she shared her wisdom and experience with me.
Over the course of the year, Rose became a 20 campus icon and she easily made friends wherever she went.
She loved to dress up and she revelled in the attention bestowed upon her from the other students. She was living it up.
At the end of the semester we invited Rose to speak at our football banquet.. I'll never forget what she taught us.
She was introduced and stepped up to the podium. As she began to deliver her prepared speech, she dropped her three by five cards on the floor.
Frustrated and a little embarrassed she leaned into the microphone and simply said, 'I'm sorry I'm so jittery.
I gave up beer for Lent and this whiskey is killing me! I'll never get my speech back in order so let me just tell you what I know.'
As we laughed she cleared her throat and began, ' We do not stop playing because we are old; we grow old because we stop playing.
There are only four secrets to staying young, being happy and achieving success. You have to laugh and find humour every day.

'You've got to have a dream. When you lose your dreams, you die'.

'We have so many people walking around who are dead and don't even know it!

'There is a huge difference between growing older and growing up'.
'If you are nineteen years old and lie in bed for one full year and don't do one productive thing, you will turn twenty years old..
If I am eighty-seven years old and stay in bed for a year and never do anything I will turn eighty-eight.
Anybody can grow older! That doesn't take any talent or ability. The idea is to grow up by always finding opportunity in change. Have no regrets.

'The elderly usually don't have regrets for what we did, but rather for things we did not do. The only people who fear death are those with regrets.'
She concluded her speech by courageously singing 'The Rose.'
She challenged each of us to study the lyrics and live them out in our daily lives. At the year's end Rose finished the college degree she had
begun all those years ago.
One week after graduation Rose died peacefully in her sleep.
Over two thousand college students attended her funeral in tribute to the wonderful woman who taught by example
that it's never too late to be all you can possibly be.

When you finish reading this, please send this peaceful word of advice to your friends and family, they'll really enjoy it!

These words have been passed along in loving memory of ROSE.

REMEMBER, GROWING OLDER IS MANDATORY. GROWING UP IS OPTIONAL. We make a Living by what we get.

'We make a Life by what we give'.

A Fine Line Between YES or NO!

The Fine Line Between YES or NO!

I remembered a story that came to mind about a young girl who was given the keys to a golden opportunity to have wealth and enjoy an incredible life of journeying with others to far off distant lands, the only thing she had to do was leave everything behind her.

When the time came for her decision as tempting and tantalising as it all felt, she declined as she wanted nothing more than to stay with what she already knew, although not as exciting an offer had ever come her way before, with a curious yet cautious mind set her decision on playing it safe. Her keen sense of adventure and curiosity for new experiences gave her a sense of freedom because she was born into a community and family of honour and stealth beliefs.

Here I will leave the conclusion or definite purpose up to the reader of her intention and to take note.

Starting from a point of “what you already know “ to stay safe is an interesting thought, you can look at this differently depending on your perception of it. Creating new and expanded thoughts can bring about a sense of excitement and desirability for more learning.

What you already know, you already know...it is admirable to the person with a history of knowledge base and know how.

When you reach your decision, is it final and how did you come to that?

“To stay safe” is debateable and to step out of a safety zone is the decision to say YES or No!

EMPOWERING POEMS

IN BLIND FAITH By Faenza Aitken

My Blind Faith I asked myself to which extent do I have?
Says universe to me to all extent you prosper don’t worry your very soul
To change and move ahead says they we know and believe in you
Erase the past and seek us fast your there yet did not know
We welcome all your queries and oppose your comment last
You are in light and speeding through quicker you last the task
To know you are exceeding the road we can now show for in the place there are no words no shadow’s or over-throw
So keep it light full of surprise and save your very soul from complicated drama-based in fear that will not grow

ODE TO MONEY By Faenza Aitken

Money is my friend money is all around
It comes in any currency US dollar note or pound
It keeps you in good company and yields you shares and stocks
For me it brings great pleasure with thoughts of riches and diamond rocks
I see it now everywhere and dream it right out loud
I see it in my slumber time all dripping golden sublime
Of course it sees me too I know its waiting shimmering and proud
So come my friends you modest lot I’ve plans for you ahead
Come forward take your place and stand
You are with me joyous to the end

“AU-GRATIS” By Faenza Aitken

My Gratitude abound no end of boundless dreams and memories that be
Given the strength of a perilous journey in the wake of dreams untold and penniless agreement foretold
You are now the creator of your ‘destiny’
I shall seek in the game within my given name a passage of right and secrecy
Hath I not been so bold in choice’s of old and caring for more that it’s given me
I see in the air a wisdom and promise to bear all fruits of the forest
No judgement is due not expected of you and share all the profits I give to you
All dreams that surpass they are not from the past they exist in an endless array
Of incredible passion and desire that happens when attachment is no longer the game

EMPOWERING POEMS

It is incredible how the universe works, I have just finished assisting my son with his project that he chose about our incredible snowy mountains here in Australia and to my surprise I realised I had not known certain interesting facts about the area and the people who were inspired by it.  At the end of his project which was a brochure he had to design and of course we were sure to include some very important information for people wanting to know about the area apart from the ski fields.

We happened upon a poem which was inspired through one of Australia's famous bush poets "Banjo Paterson" who wrote "The Man From Snowy River" a classic poem full of thrill, surprise and the hard-working man.  Of course we added a short description of this classic tale excluding the poem itself knowing that first it was quite a long poem and second the chosen words would be challenging to a year 4 child.  We also noted that the area he was from was indeed our town and area and where we lived was also connected to and named after places and words right out of the poem itself.

So through my own thoughts and feelings inspired me to write these poems which have come directly from my core of who I was being at the time.

"CHILD LABELLING"

One of the most frequent, undiagnosed habits a parent, neighbour, friend or relative can do is to put children in categories labelling them which can really DAMAGE their perspective and general view of how they see themselves.
Most innocently, some don’t even know what they have done by auto-suggestion and on-going thoughts about the child. Taken for granted in the normal or usual way you might say yet more than likely everything that is thought of and suggested has been done through a limiting belief system of the person or people thinking it.
Belief system’s that have been set up by past conditioning and fear of the un-known. A crisis in the making for anyone who has either been subjected to labelling or has labelled by someone else, there is no difference between the two so the common denominator is that the outcome is fear, shame and embarrassment because of the obvious label put to the child and the same applies to the one labelling them.
The WIN, WIN situation is set up nicely and the only detail here is your perspective of that. Win because both the child and other person or people have convinced themselves and settled for the un-natural act of “Child Labelling” for life!
The pivotal point to remember and to apply is in-fact the opposite of any un-natural thought and thinking towards these adhesives. Stop the drama of un-wanted negative forces in your mind and continue ON-WARDS and UP-WARDS to challenge yourself about these beliefs and get your answers from within rather than relying on outside sources, clinical studies, negative media, friends or relatives.
As a parent, teacher, mentor, friend, neighbour, relative you deserve to seek the truth inside, nothing from outside influences will ever contain your truth.
First and foremost, a mother has the intuitive nature towards their own children and by all respects is usually the first to have insight.
